A few days ago, last wednesday night, after a day and half of minor to medium fever (39.51° C) with unknown cause, I had this strange dream.  I had been in my bed almost the entire tuesday and when I went to bed for the night, somewhere between 08.30 and 09.00 pm,  I lay awake for a fairly long time. When I fell asleep it was for several short periods of time…sleeping, awake, sleeping ….

I believe it must have been around 03.00 am when I dreamt being at work, as usual in a dream, in another environment than in my real life. At some  point I  had to go to the back of the office and for that I had to pass a room that was separated from the rest by a curtain.  There was no light in this room so I turned it on. I hate going in dark rooms. As I was heading for the back of the room, I must have crossed the shadow of a piece of furniture and at that point I was suddenly grabbed and lifted up …by an entity that,  at the same time, squeezed me tight like with an invisible fist, leaving me unable to move and unable to shout. The only thing I could do was whisper :”let me go, let me go”.  There was no communication between me and that other…thing.  I woke up fairly quickly after that and the funny thing is that I was calm.  My heart wasn’t beating fast nor was I sweating. It didn’t feel as if it had been a nightmare. Maybe it did not last long enough for that. But still I was impressed by the whole thing,  because it did leave me behind with the feeling that my body had actually experienced the squeeze. I can’t remember ever having dreamt a dream , after awaking,  feeling the same as I did last wednesday.
